SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Engineers Graduate Association (JKEEGA) has welcomed the Government’s decision to restore employee-wise CPIS-based salary disbursement through the JKPaySys platform for employees of Power Development Department corporations.
The restoration was approved through Government Order No. 180-FD of 2026 dated May 7.
According to the order, the facility will apply to employees of Jammu and Kashmir Power Corporation Limited (JKPCL), Jammu and Kashmir Power Transmission Corporation Limited (JKPTCL), Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) and Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) who are on deputation, registered on the HRMS platform and appointed before October 2019.
JKEEGA described the move as a major administrative reform aimed at improving transparency, standardisation and efficiency in salary processing in the power sector.
The association said the decision resolves a long-pending issue affecting a large section of employees and appreciated the coordination between the Finance Department and the Power Development Department in implementing the mechanism from May 2026.
It further stated that the restoration of JKPaySys would strengthen financial accountability, streamline salary management and improve overall administrative functioning within the power sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
