Jammu Kashmir: Govt Assigns Additional Charge of Director Family Welfare, MCH and Immunisation | Kashmir Life

Srinagar, June 11: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has assigned Dr Afsana Bano, Assistant Director (TB), Directorate of Health Services Kashmir, the additional charge of Director, Family Welfare, Maternal and Child Health (MCH) and Immunisation, JK, in order to ensure administrative continuity and uninterrupted healthcare services.

According to Government Order No. 469-JK(HME) of 2026 dated June 11, 2026, Dr Bano has been transferred and posted in the Directorate of Family Welfare, MCH and Immunisation, JK, where she will discharge the duties of Director until further orders.

The order states that the arrangement is purely temporary and subject to the outcome of any writ petitions pending before competent courts.

It further clarifies that the assignment shall not confer any right upon the officer to claim preferential treatment in matters of regularisation or promotion, which shall be governed strictly under the prescribed rules.
