Jammu Kashmir Government Orders Police Transfers, Postings

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Wednesday ordered a series of transfers and postings in the Police Department with immediate effect, following approval from the competent authority and clearance from the Election Commission of India.

According to a government order, Girdhari Lal (JKPS:2001), who was serving as SSP Traffic Rural Jammu, has been transferred and posted as SSP CID SB Jammu, against an available vacancy.

Amit Bhasin (JKPS:2001), SSP awaiting posting, has been appointed as SSP Traffic City Jammu, replacing Farooq Qesor Malik (JKPS:2004). Malik has been transferred and posted as SSP Traffic Rural Jammu, vice Girdhari Lal.

Additionally, Koushal Kumar (JKPS:2008), who was awaiting an order of posting, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commandant, 18 IR Battalion, against an available vacancy.

The government order was issued by Chandraker Bharti, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government, Home Department, by the order of the Lieutenant Governor.
