Jammu, April 24, 2026: In a historic first for the region, Jammu witnessed the grand launch of animated Dogri poetry written and composed by renowned poet Heena Mahajan. EuroKids Talab Tillo proudly became the first school to take an active initiative in presenting and supporting such a dynamic literary and creative milestone. The institution provided a vibrant platform to showcase Heena Mahajan’s unique and imaginative collection of poems, creating an inspiring and culturally rich atmosphere within its campus.
A vibrant celebration of language, culture, and childhood creativity unfolded as Heena Mahajan, popularly known by her pen name Jammu Di Chidi, hosted this special cultural event in collaboration with EuroKids Talab Tillo, with Managing Director Mr. Ronit Kapoor as co-organizer.
Gracing the occasion as Chief Guest, Arvind Gupta (MLA, West Jammu) congratulated Heena Mahajan for her remarkable initiative. He appreciated her strong sense of responsibility and noted that she is working ahead of her time to address the need for introducing the Dogri language to young minds. He emphasized that such creative efforts enable children to absorb and appreciate their mother tongue from an early age in a joyful and engaging manner through animated poetry.
Guest of Honour, Zorawar Singh Jamwal (Spokesperson, BJP & Chairman, Team Jammu, Duggar Baradari), also extended his heartfelt congratulations to Heena Mahajan, who serves as an active Co-Convener of Duggar Baradari, Team Jammu. He assured that such meaningful initiatives for children would be widely promoted across platforms and educational institutions to provide vibrant Dogri content. He praised all seven animated poems as distinct, beautifully crafted, and truly of an exceptional standard.
The event was further graced by the esteemed presence and blessings of Ex-Corporator Neelam Nargotra. Among other distinguished attendees were Chairman Amit Kapoor, Vice Chairman Amita Kapoor, Mrs. Reeta Gupta (mother of Heena Mahajan), and Roohi Mahajan (sister of Heena Mahajan), whose presence added warmth and pride to the occasion.
This collaboration reflects a shared vision of nurturing young minds through creative expression while preserving and promoting Dogri language and culture. The entire team of EuroKids Talab Tillo, including staff, administration, and students, contributed with dedication and enthusiasm, making the event a grand success.
The highlight of the event was the grand poster launch of “Jammu Di Chidi – Nikkade Fangdu Ucchi Udaan”, along with the release of seven animated Dogri poems: Jammu Di Chidi, Sher Te Bakri, Babru, Dido Jamwal, Akkad Bakkad Bambe Bo, Manno Billi Aayi, and Manda Zoo.
The program began with ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by a poster unveiling, an engaging interactive session with children led by Heena Mahajan, student felicitation, and inspiring addresses by the distinguished guests.
This initiative marks a meaningful step towards reviving and celebrating regional language through engaging, child-friendly storytelling formats, ensuring that Dogri continues to flourish among the younger generation. The occasion was further strengthened by the presence of dedicated press and media partners, whose efforts, despite the scorching heat, ensured wide coverage and contributed significantly to the overall success of the event.
