Govt orders transfers, postings in Transport Department

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Wednesday ordered transfers and postings of Assistant Regional Transport Officers (ARTOs) as part of an administrative reshuffle in the Transport Department.

According to the Government Order, the transfers have been effected with immediate effect in the interest of administration.

As per the order, Mehnaz Chisti, Junior Scale JKAS, has been shifted from ARTO Pulwama and posted as ARTO (Headquarters), Srinagar.

Mohammad Shafait, Junior Scale JKAS, who was serving as ARTO Kupwara, has been transferred and posted as ARTO Pulwama.

Anis Ahmad Wani, Junior Scale JKAS, presently posted as ARTO (Headquarters), Srinagar, has been transferred as ARTO Shopian. He will also relieve the ARTO Kulgam from the additional charge of the post.

As per the order, ARTO Baramulla shall hold the additional charge of ARTO Kupwara, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.
