Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), through Instruments Research & Development Establishment (IRDE), Dehradun has released an official notification inviting applications for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) posts. A total of 08 vacancies are available across different disciplines.

The fellowship is offered for a period of two years (extendable as per rules). Candidates must meet the required educational qualification and age limit before applying. The last date to submit the application is within 21 days from the date of publication in Employment News.

Eligibility Criteria of DRDO IRDE JRF Vacancies

Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, and OBC candidates as per Government of India norms.

Salary Details

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 37,000 plus HRA as per rules.

Application Process

Candidates must download the prescribed application form from the DRDO website and fill it carefully. The completed application along with required documents should be sent to the Director, IRDE, Dehradun.

Applicants must also email the scanned application form along with all supporting documents in a single PDF file to the given email ID before the closing date.

Candidates should clearly mention “APPLICATION FOR JRF ENGAGEMENT” on the envelope.

Application Fee

Candidates need to submit an Indian Postal Order of Rs. 10 in favour of Director, IRDE, Dehradun. SC, ST, and OBC candidates are exempted from the fee.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on screening of applications followed by interview. Candidates may be shortlisted based on GATE score and academic performance.
