Congress Convenes Workers’ Meeting at Krusan Sogam; New Members Join Party

Kupwara: A workers’ meeting of Indian National Congress was held on Tuesday at Krusan in the Sogam area of Kupwara district.

The meeting was held at the residence of retired Captain Ab Rashid Tantray and was chaired by District Congress Committee Kupwara President Haji Farooq Mir.

Those present included Nazir Hussain Kalas (Chairman, Kissan Cell Kupwara), Gh Mohidin Khan, Haji Sunaulla Ganai, Ab Rehman Magray, Haji Mohd Yousuf Bhat, Amanulla Khan, Gh Hassan Bhat, and Ab Razak Sheikh.

During the meeting, several individuals joined the party, including Mohammad Shafi Khan (retired Block Development Officer), retired Sub-Inspector Ab Hafeez Mir, Ab Subhan Mir, and Shabir Rather. The new members were welcomed by the district president, who said their induction would strengthen the party at the grassroots level.

The meeting concluded with leaders reiterating their commitment to strengthening the organisation and addressing public issues in Kupwara district.
