
SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday met several public representatives and delegations at his Public Services and Outreach Office, Raabita, in Srinagar, where a range of constituency-specific and sectoral issues were discussed.
Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Ladakh, Haji Mohammad Hanifa, called on the Chief Minister along with delegations representing employees of the Power Development Department serving in Ladakh and members of the Private School Association of Kargil. The delegations raised issues pertaining to their respective sectors. The Chief Minister assured them that their concerns would be taken up with the concerned authorities for appropriate action.
MLA Bandipora, Nizam Ud Din Bhat, also met the Chief Minister and apprised him of various developmental and public welfare issues related to his constituency. The Chief Minister gave a patient hearing and assured due consideration.
MLA Hazratbal, Salman Sagar, met the Chief Minister along with a delegation of civil society members from Hazratbal. The delegation expressed gratitude for the resolution of the long-pending issue regarding the construction of the Sub-District Hospital at Habak, Hazratbal, and also raised other developmental concerns. The Chief Minister appreciated their feedback and reiterated the Government’s commitment to strengthening public infrastructure and services.
Separately, MLA Hazratbal, Salman Sagar, also led a delegation of the Jal Jeevan Mission Contractors’ Association, which submitted its pending demands. The Chief Minister assured that the issues would be examined and addressed as per established procedures.
MLA Beerwah, Shafi Ahmad Wani, called on the Chief Minister and discussed developmental requirements and public issues concerning his constituency. The Chief Minister reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to balanced and equitable development across Jammu and Kashmir.
Chairperson of the JK Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE), Minu Mahajan, also met the Chief Minister and briefed him on matters related to the functioning of the Board and the conduct of entrance examinations in the Union Territory.
Reiterating his government’s focus on responsive and people-centric governance, the Chief Minister assured all delegations that genuine public issues raised during the meetings would be taken up for appropriate follow-up action.
