2 labourers rescued after Beri Pattan landslide in Rajouri

Rajouri, Sep 24: Two labourers were rescued alive Wednesday after being buried under debris during a landslide at a road construction site in Beri Pattan, Rajouri district, officials said.

The incident occurred while work was underway on a road being upgraded by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO).

According to officials, the mishap took place during the digging of roadside drains when a portion of loosened soil suddenly caved in, engulfing the workers beneath a heap of debris.

Fellow labourers on-site acted swiftly, launching an immediate rescue operation and managing to pull both men out alive.

The injured workers were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment.
