Jammu and Kashmir Bank Managing Director and CEO Amitava Chatterjee, who attended as the chief guest, highlighted the role of such gatherings in strengthening community bonds and addressing the concerns of retired staff.

“The resilience shown by Jammu and Kashmir Bank employees during challenging times has always been exemplary and reflects the highest standards of commitment in the industry. Our retired officials are a proud part of the extended Jammu and Kashmir Bank family, and we shall make every possible effort to ensure their well-being,” he said.

Chatterjee announced the setting up of a dedicated grievance cell within the HR Department to address the issues of retirees in a time-bound manner.

The conference was also attended by Nazir Ahmad Ganai, Vice Chancellor SKUAST-K, and Devinder Singh Jattana, organising secretary of the All India Pensioners’ Federation (AIBRF), whose presence lent further significance to the occasion.

One of the main highlights was the presentation and unanimous adoption of the redrafted constitution of the Jammu and Kashmir Bank Pensioners Association by general secretary ZA Makdoomi, a step aimed at ensuring more effective and streamlined functioning of the body.

The day-long event provided a platform for pensioners to share experiences, discuss concerns, and engage directly with bank officials.
