District Mineral Officers Kupwara and Samba Attached Pending Inquiry – Alfaaz – The Words

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Department of Geology and Mining has ordered the attachment of Mumtaz Ahmad Shah, Junior Engineer (Chemical), who was serving as District Mineral Officer (DMO) Kupwara and holding additional charge of DMO Bandipora.

As per an order, a copy of which lies with Alfaaz – The Words, the officer has been attached to the office of the Director, Geology and Mining, Jammu, pending an inquiry into complaints received against him.

While the department has not specified the nature of the complaints, official sources indicated that the allegations are under serious consideration.

The move, officials said, is a routine administrative measure aimed at ensuring an impartial investigation.

Similarly, District Mining Officer Samba, Mohd Sharfraz has also been attached in Directorate Geology & Mining Srinagar with immediate effect on complaints received over the period of time.
