Cordon and Search Operation Launched in Jammu Kashmir Village

SRINAGAR: Security forces on Saturday carried out a large-scale cordon and search operation (CASO) in the Mendhar sector of Poonch district following reports of suspicious movement in the area.

Sources said that joint teams of the Special Operations Group (SOG) from Mendhar, Mankote, and Gursai swiftly launched the operation, sealing off several localities to carry out thorough searches.

The action was initiated after locals alerted the security agencies about possible suspicious activity in the region.

In response, additional forces were deployed to strengthen security and prevent any untoward incident.

As per the latest reports, searches were continuing in the area. (KINS)
