Srinagar: Security forces have apprehended two ‘militant associates’ at a naka checking in Sumbal area in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, multiple reports said on Sunday evening.
The reports quoted officials as saying that a joint naka was established by police and army at Malpora Nowgam in Sumbal, during which two militant associates were arrested.
Upon searching the duo, the forces, as per officials, recovered arms and ammunition which included two Chinese grenades, two UBGL grenades and 10 rounds of AKs.
The individuals have been identified as Ab Majid Gojri a resident of SK Bala and Ab Hamid Dar a resident of Vijpara.
A case has been registered into the matter under relevant sections of law for further proceedings.
