DRDO Scientist/Engineer ‘B’ 2025 Notification Out For 152 Posts – Apply Online At Rac.gov.in

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), through its Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC), has released the official notification inviting applications from eligible candidates for the post of Scientist/Engineer ‘B’. A total of 152 vacancies have been announced across DRDO, ADA, and various other units under the Ministry of Defence.

As per the DRDO RAC Notification 2025 (Advt No. 156), the posts are for disciplines such as Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, and others. The upper age limit is 35 years for UR/EWS, 38 years for OBC, and 40 years for SC/ST candidates. The pay level is Level-10 (Basic Pay Rs. 56,100/-) with total monthly emoluments of approximately Rs. 1,00,000/-.

Interested candidates can apply online through the official RAC website (rac.gov.in) by the last date of 18 July 2025. Selection will be based on GATE score and a personal interview. Details of eligibility, disciplines, and how to apply are provided below.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must have at least First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or a Master’s Degree in relevant disciplines as per the post. Valid GATE 2023/2024/2025 score is required for all disciplines.

UR/EWS: 35 years

Divyangjan: Up to 10 years relaxation
Other relaxations as per Government of India rules.

Other Requirements:
Only Indian nationals are eligible. GATE score must match the discipline applied. Additional requirements like RCI registration for Clinical Psychology must be fulfilled where applicable.

General (UR), EWS and OBC male candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 100/- through online mode. SC/ST/Divyangjan and women candidates are exempted.

Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be on the basis of 80% weightage to GATE score and 20% weightage to the Personal Interview. Candidates must secure a minimum of 70% (UR) and 60% (reserved categories) in the interview to qualify.
