Jammu, Jul 7: The Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has finalised and approved the new selection panels for the 2025–26 season, following the recommendations from the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC).
As per a statement, former J&K and Services cricketer Sarabjeet Singh has been named Chairperson of the Senior Men’s Selection Committee, bringing a wealth of first-class experience to the role.
As per the recommendations of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), including Abdul Qayoom, Vidhya Bhaskar, and Meenu Singh Slathia, the Subcommittee of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) approved the appointment of selectors with immediate effect.
“Hugely experienced First Class cricketer Sarabjeet Singh has been appointed as the chairperson of the Senior Men’s Selection Committee. Sarabjeet has the distinction of representing J&K and Services in 91 Ranji Trophy, 72 List A, and 7 T20 matches as a wicketkeeper batsman,” reads the release.
The statement adds that experienced campaigners Dhruv Mahajan and Arshad Bhat were the other two members of the Senior Men’s Selection Committee.
The Junior Men’s Selection Committee includes Arun Sharma as the chairperson, while Samiullah Beigh, Jagtar Singh, and Vikrant Taggar are the members.
Ankita Jalla has been appointed as the chairperson of the Senior Women’s Selection Committee, while Anuradha Sharma and Masrat Ahad are the other two members.
Pratibha Bhasin has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Junior Women’s Selection Committee, with Payal Chaudhary, Nusrat Jan, and Hinan Maqbool as the members.
