RRU, JKSDRF sign MoU for collaboration on training, academic, research activities

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) and Jammu & Kashmir State Disaster Response Force (JKSDRF) on Monday for collaboration on training, academic and research activities in J&K which includes several categories.

The objectives include: “To work towards joint certification of academic research and training  courses; To design and frame the training modules for the JKSDRF; To provide all the expertise in strengthening and restructuring of State  Disaster Management Training Center/s as required by the JKSDRF,” said a press release.

It envisages to jointly organise and execute online and offline activities including lectures, workshops, seminars and short-term training programs, the release added. “To design research project proposals jointly taken up by the RRU and JKSDRF; Exchange of faculty; exchange of academic information, scholarly information, materials and publications,” said the press release. 

The signing ceremony of MOU was held in the office chamber of   AG Mir, IPS, DGP, Commandant General Homeguards, Civil Defence and SDRF J&K Srinagar,  which was attended from Rashtriya Raksha University J&K Campus by  Dr Mahesh A. Tripathi (Director), Dr. Mohammad Akmal Shah (Asstt. Director) and Dr Bilquees Dar (Asstt. Professor, Disaster Management) and from J&K SDRF by Imtiyaz Hussain Mir (DIG) Director Civil Defence & SDRF Kashmir,  Masroor Ahmad Mir, SSP, Commandant SDRF 1st Bn Srinagar and Mohd. Rafi Giri, SSP, Staff Officer to Commandant General HG, CD & SDRF J&K.
