Man killed in car accident on Nachilana–Badarkoot link road in Ramban

Ramban, June 03: A man was killed after a car rolled down a deep gorge on the Nachilana–Badarkoot link road in the Ramsoo area of Ramban district late Tuesday night.

The deceased has been identified as 21 years old Wasim Ahmed, son of Mohammad Qasim Gujjar, a resident of Hingni, Ramsoo.

According to police officials, Wasim Ahmed was the lone occupant of the vehicle when it reportedly skidded off the road and plunged into several hundred meters deep gorge, resulting in his death on the spot.

The body was shifted to PHC Ramsoo on Wednesday morning for medico-legal formalities and was later handed over to the family for the last rites.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further proceedings.
