70-Year-Old Woman Killed After Walnut Tree Falls Amid Gusty Winds in South Kashmir | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: A 70-year-old woman was killed after a walnut tree fell on her during strong gusty winds in the Khulchohar area of Mattan in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday.

Reports said the deceased, a housewife, was near her residence in Mirpora Khulchohar when the walnut tree suddenly collapsed due to strong winds, causing fatal injuries.

She was identified as a resident of Mirpora Khulchohar in Mattan.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further investigation. (JKNS)
