J&K Home Department Final Selection List Released

Post : Assistant Superintendent Jails

Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board issued the Final Selection List for the post of Assistant Superintendent Jails of Home Department advertised under Advertisement Notification No. 02 of 2022 dated 09.02.2022, Item No. 041. A total of 07 posts were requisitioned for direct recruitment. Required qualification included Graduation with Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or Criminology along with prescribed physical standards for male and female candidates.

Selection was made on the basis of Written Examination only.

JKSSB conducted the OMR Test on 13.07.2025 and results were notified on 04.08.2025.

PST schedule was notified on 17.09.2025 and PST results declared on 06.10.2025.

Document Verification was conducted in Jammu and Srinagar followed by supplementary DV.

The provisional selection list was approved in the 347th Board Meeting held on 23.04.2026 and objections were invited within five days.

The Final Selection List proposal was approved in the 350th Board Meeting held on 21.05.2026.

The Final Selection List remains subject to court cases and pending inquiries.

Candidates whose recommendations are withheld must submit required documents within one month.
