Jammu, 24 April 2026: Northern Railway takes pride in announcing the extension of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–Srinagar Vande Bharat Express up to Jammu Tawi, for the convenience of passengers within the Jammu Division.
This extension will be inaugurated on April 30, 2026, operating as an Inaugural Special Train (No. 02601) departing from Jammu Tawi (JAT).
The schedule and details of the Inaugural Special Train are as follows:
Train Number: 02601 (Inaugural Special)
Date: April 30, 2026 (Thursday)
Train Composition: Modern Vande Bharat Rake comprising 20 coaches
Jammu — 10:30 Journey Commences
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra 11:54 – 11:59 Boarding / De-boarding
Srinagar 15:05 — Destination Station
