The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has intensified its efforts to promote tourism-linked employment in J&K by expanding its hospitality skilling and employability initiatives across the region.

Reinforcing its broader commitment to inclusive growth and nation-building, IHCL is focusing on equipping local youth with industry-relevant skills to enhance their participation in the hospitality sector. The initiative forms part of the company’s larger strategy to create sustainable livelihood opportunities in regions with high tourism potential but limited access to structured training.

Gaurav Pokhariyal, Executive Vice President – Human Resources at IHCL, said that skill development remains central to the company’s social impact vision. He noted that targeted interventions in J&K are aimed at empowering youth with practical training, enabling them to build long-term careers in hospitality while contributing to regional economic development.
