Islamic University of Science & Technology Kashmir has released an official notification inviting applications from interested and eligible candidates for Contractual Assistant Professor posts in the Department of Philosophy. The engagement is purely on academic arrangement basis for teaching, research and allied academic activities.

Eligibility Criteria of IUST Assistant Professor Vacancies

Educational Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a concerned, relevant or allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Candidates must also hold a Ph.D Degree awarded in accordance with the University Grants Commission Regulations 2009 or 2016 and their amendments.
OR
Candidates holding Ph.D from a foreign university ranked among the top 500 institutions in world rankings by QS, Times Higher Education or Academic Ranking of World Universities are also eligible.

Salary Details

Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly remuneration of ₹50,000.

Leave and vacation benefits will be provided as per university norms governing such engagements.

Selection Process

The shortlisting of candidates for interview will be carried out as per prescribed criteria.

Twenty candidates will be shortlisted for one post and five candidates will be shortlisted for every additional post. Final selection will be made strictly as per UGC Regulations 2018 through interview only. The panel recommended by the selection committee will remain valid for one year.

The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid through online mode using debit card, credit card or net banking.

Eligible candidates are required to apply online through the University website www.iust.ac.in.

After successful submission of the online application form and payment of fee, candidates must submit the hard copy of the application form along with self-attested copies of certificates and documents in the office of the Head of the Department on any working day before the last date.

Applications without submission of hard copy will not be considered.
