DRDO VRDE JRF Recruitment 2026, Walk In Interview

Vehicle Research and Development Establishment (VRDE), functioning under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has released an official notification for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) posts.

Eligible engineering graduates with valid GATE scores can attend the walk-in interview for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering disciplines. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹37,000 plus HRA.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria.

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with First Division and valid GATE Score.
• OR ME/M.Tech in relevant discipline with First Division in both Graduation and Post-Graduation.
• Valid GATE Scores from 2024, 2025 or 2026 are acceptable.

• Maximum Age: 28 Years as on interview date.
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 Years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years

Selection Process

Selection will be conducted in multiple stages.

• Document Verification
• Written Test (2 Hours Duration)
• Interview

Written Test will be conducted after document verification. Interview will be conducted based on written test results.
