SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a Technical Appraisal Committee (TAC) to evaluate and finalise specifications for the proposed “Classroom Digital Board” project, according to Government Order No. 424-JK(GAD) of 2026 issued by the General Administration Department.

The committee will be headed by the Chief Executive Officer of JaKeGA and comprises the State Informatics Officer of NIC JK along with representatives from IIT Jammu and NIT Srinagar. The Under Secretary to the Information Technology Department will serve as Member-Convener, while the Additional Secretary, School Education Department, has been designated as the Single Point of Contact.

The TAC has been tasked with a comprehensive review of the Detailed Project Report (DPR), covering technical, financial, administrative and legal aspects. It will assess whether the project’s objectives, timelines and deliverables are clearly defined and aligned with government policy.

The panel will also examine the project’s technical design, standards, scalability, security and sustainability to ensure adherence to prescribed norms.

The committee has been directed to submit its report to the Information Technology Department within 45 days from the issuance of the order.
