Kupwara: MLA Lolab, Qaysar Jamshaid Lone, on Wednesday laid the foundation stone and inaugurated several development projects in the Lolab constituency aimed at strengthening infrastructure and improving educational facilities.
Among the major initiatives, the MLA laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Divisional Office of the PW (R&B) Division Lolab. The facility is expected to enhance administrative efficiency and improve coordination of the Roads and Buildings department in the area.
On the occasion, he also inaugurated the reconstructed bridge at Shartmukam, which had suffered damage earlier. The bridge is expected to restore smooth connectivity and facilitate easier movement for residents and commuters in the locality.
In the education sector, the MLA inaugurated additional classrooms along with fully equipped Physics, Chemistry and Biology laboratories at Higher Secondary School Maidanpora. The facilities have been developed under the Samagra Shiksha programme and are aimed at strengthening science education and improving academic infrastructure for students.
Addressing the gathering, Lone said the projects reflect the government’s commitment to strengthening basic infrastructure and improving educational standards in the Lolab area. He said such initiatives are essential for balanced development and better public services.
Officials from the concerned departments and local residents attended the programme and appreciated the initiatives. They expressed hope that the projects will contribute to improved connectivity, better educational facilities, and overall development of the constituency.
