BMW Car Damaged in Srinagar Fire Mishap | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: A BMW car bearing was damaged in a fire incident reported at the Old Bus Stand, Batamaloo area of Srinagar on Tuesday evening.

An official said that the State Fire Control Room, Batamaloo, received a distress call following which Fire and Emergency (F and E) Headquarters rushed teams to the spot to douse the flames.

According to preliminary information, the fire is suspected to have originated from a nearby garbage heap that had caught fire and later spread to the vehicle. The car was reportedly parked outside a mechanic workshop when it suddenly got engulfed in flames.

Fire and Emergency Services personnel acted promptly and managed to bring the blaze under control, preventing it from spreading to other vehicles parked nearby.

Further investigation has been initiated to ascertain the exact cause of the incident. (KNC)
