Police seize vehicle involved in illegal mining in Baramulla

Srinagar, Feb 21: Continuing its drive against illegal mining activities, Jammu and Kashmir Police in Baramulla under the jurisdiction of Police Post Delina intercepted a vehicle (tipper) bearing registration number JK04C-1750 found carrying illegally extracted sand.

According to the statement, the vehicle was immediately detained and challaned through the officials of the Geology & Mining Department under relevant provisions of law.

J&K Police remain committed to taking strict action against illegal mining and appeal to the public to report such activities to the nearest police unit, statement reads.
