Jammu Kashmir Finance Dept Appoints JKAS Officer as Nodal Officer | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Finance Department has appointed a senior official as the Union Territory-level nodal officer for a time-bound anti-drug initiative under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA), according to an official order issued on June 1, 2026.

As per Government Order No. 86 Acctts. of 2026 issued by the Accounts Treasuries wing of the Finance Department, Anirudh Khajuria (JKAS), Chief Accounts Officer in the Directorate General of Accounts and Treasuries, has been designated to oversee implementation of a three-month intensive action plan under the NMBA.

The order, bearing reference DGAT/51/2026/(7900947)/58 and issued on June 1, 2026 states that the appointment is intended to strengthen coordination and ensure effective execution of the departmental action plan under the national anti-drug programme.

According to the document, the appointed officer will supervise Union Territory-level implementation of the campaign and coordinate with relevant wings of the Finance Department to ensure smooth execution.
