
Kupwara, Feb 15: A delegation of the All India Milli Ulema Board, led by its President Mohammad Fatah Alam and accompanied by National General Secretary Qari Qamar, met Member of Parliament Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan in New Delhi and congratulated him for raising issues concerning the state and the Muslim community at the country’s highest forum.
During the meeting, the delegation discussed several matters. The leaders emphasised the need for adequate government facilities and support arrangements during the holy month of Ramadhan to ensure convenience for the faithful.
Serious concern was expressed over the increasing backwardness and rising illiteracy rate among certain sections of the Muslim community. The delegation stressed the urgent need to strengthen educational opportunities and called for comprehensive measures aimed at socio-economic upliftment and empowerment. Both sides highlighted the importance of collective efforts and focused policy measures to address these concerns and promote inclusive development.
