SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has reconstituted the Joint Board of Officers tasked with identifying the balance equal value of land in lieu of 139.04 acres at Tattoo Ground to be handed over to the Ministry of Defence (Army).

According to Government Order No. 208-JK(GAD) of 2026 dated February 13, 2026, issued by the General Administration Department, Civil Secretariat, the Station Commander, Haft Chinar, has been appointed Chairman of the Joint Board of Officers. The order partially modifies Government Order No. 1487-JK(GAD) of 2025 dated November 17, 2025.

As per the revised arrangement, the Col Q, Headquarters 31 Sub Area, will continue as a Member of the Joint Board instead of serving as its Chairman.

The order further states that the Assistant Commissioner, Central, along with the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, shall act as the Member Secretary of the Joint Board to ensure smooth coordination and effective conduct of its proceedings.
