Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released Advertisement No. 07/2026-IES/ISS for recruitment to the Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Statistical Service (ISS) for the year 2026. A total of 44 vacancies have been announced.

Selection Process

The selection process includes:

Written Examination (Part I)

Total Marks: 1000
Subject-specific papers for IES and ISS

Viva Voce / Personality Test (Part II)

Total Marks: 200
Conducted for candidates shortlisted from written examination

Final selection is based on total marks obtained in both stages.

Salary Structure

Selected candidates will be appointed in the Junior Time Scale of the respective services as per Government of India rules. The pay includes basic pay, dearness allowance, house rent allowance and other central government benefits.
