SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir government has issued an advisory restricting the entry and parking of vehicles in and around the Civil Secretariat in Jammu ahead of the fifth session of the JK Legislative Assembly.
As per a circular issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), private vehicles of Civil Secretariat employees, including those belonging to police personnel deployed on security duties, will not be permitted inside the Secretariat premises during the Assembly session.
The advisory states that the parking facility available at the new under-construction Assembly Complex will be used for parking private vehicles of Secretariat employees on a first-come, first-served basis.
It further clarifies that no other vehicles including escort vehicles and media vehicles will be allowed to park in areas specifically earmarked for Civil Secretariat staff.
All officers and officials posted at the Civil Secretariat have been directed to cooperate fully with the Senior Superintendent of Police (Security) in regulating vehicular movement and parking to ensure the smooth conduct of the Assembly proceedings.
The government has also instructed all Administrative Secretaries to circulate the directions among employees of their respective departments for strict compliance.
