Truck Driver Injured After Contact With High-Tension Wire | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: A truck driver was injured after receiving an electric shock when his vehicle came into contact with a high-tension power line in the Sonpah area of Beerwah, officials said on Sunday.

The injured driver was initially taken to Sub-District Hospital Beerwah, from where he was referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for advanced medical treatment. Hospital sources said the condition of the injured person is being monitored.

Reports said the incident occurred when the truck he was driving accidentally touched an overhead high-tension wire at Sonpah Beerwah, resulting in electrocution and injuries.

The injured has been identified as Feroz Ahmad Lone, son of Abdul Majeed Lone, a resident of Bogam Kulgam, aged about 48 years.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident and further details are awaited. (KNT)
