North Kashmir: Authorities Withhold Salaries of Two Officials Over Unauthorised Absence | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: Authorities in north Kashmir’s Sopore withheld salaries of two tehsil office Watergam employees over their unauthorised absence from their duties.

An official said that during a surprise check at Tehsil Office, Watergam by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Sopore, SA Raina, two officials – Ishrat Fatima and Mohammad Arif – were found absent unauthorisedly, which prompted action.

The absentees were asked to explain their position within two days, the official said, adding that their salaries have been withheld pending further directions. (KNO)
