
Rajouri, Jan 11: After it remained closed for movement of vehicles for six consecutive days, the Mughal Road has finally been restored for traffic, with authorities deciding to allow full-scale traffic movement on Monday.
Earlier, on Sunday late afternoon, authorities allowed movement of vehicles from both sides but only those vehicles were allowed to travel which were stuck at both the ends from last few days.
Officials told that an inspection of this road was conducted on Sunday morning that continued till afternoon in which it was found that road surface has improved in terms of slippery conditions which have reduced due to plenty of sunshine.
Over this, they said, the team decided to allow movement of vehicles after which dozens of vehicle lined at Bufliyaz in Poonch and Hirpora in Shopian were allowed to move.
” Full scale traffic from both the sides will be allowed on Monday.” they said.
