SRINAGAR: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ravinder Raina on Sunday visited Changoo village in Dooru area of Anantnag to offer condolences to the family of Gul Mohammad Shah, a Forest Department employee who lost his life while performing firefighting duties.

Raina expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and paid tribute to the deceased for his sacrifice in the line of duty.

Speaking to media persons, Raina said that he is currently on a visit to Kashmir and is meeting people, especially the youth, to listen to their grievances, particularly the difficulties faced during the winter season.

“I am visiting Central and North Kashmir and interacting directly with the people. We are servants of the people. Wherever we feel that people are facing problems, we will convey their issues to the government, and wherever required, we will also question the government to ensure relief reaches them,” Raina said.

Reacting to questions regarding Congress rallies alleging “vote theft,” the senior BJP leader said that the Congress has lost its political base across the country.

“From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, the Congress has been wiped out politically across the nation,” he added.

Raina reiterated that the BJP remains committed to public service and addressing the concerns of people on the ground. (KNC)
