IB MTS Recruitment 2025 Notification Out For 362 Posts – Apply Online

The Intelligence Bureau (IB), under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, has released the official notification for IB MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff – General) Recruitment 2025. The recruitment drive aims to fill 362 vacancies across various Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaux (SIBs) across India.

Eligible candidates can apply online from 22 November 2025 to 14 December 2025 through the official MHA website or the NCS portal.

• Pay Level-1: ₹18,000 – ₹56,900
• Special Security Allowance: 20% of basic pay
• Holiday duty compensation: Up to 30 days

IB MTS Eligibility Criteria 2025

Educational Qualification

• Matriculation (10th pass) or equivalent
  AND
• Domicile certificate of the state applied for, valid as of 14 December 2025.

Age Limit

• 18 to 25 years as of 14.12.2025

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PwBD: 10–15 years
• Departmental candidates: Up to 40 years
• Widows/divorced women: Up to 35–40 years
• Ex-servicemen: As per rules
• Meritorious sportspersons: Up to 5 years

IB MTS 2025 Exam Pattern

Tier-I (Online Objective Test)

• Duration: 1 hour
• Negative marking: ¼ mark for each wrong answer

Tier-II (Descriptive Test)

• English comprehension & paragraph writing (150 words): 50 marks
• Qualifying marks: 20

Final Merit = Tier-I only, but Tier-II must be qualified.
