KPDCL Announces Multiple Shutdowns Affecting Several Districts | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across several areas in north, central and south Kashmir for maintenance works between 30 November and 7 December.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, the 132 KV Amargarh–Kupwara transmission line (circuits 1 and 2) will remain shut from 09.00 AM to 03.00 PM on 30 November 2025. The outage will affect power supply to Hyhama, Trehgam, Kralpora, Patru, Kundiyan, Keran, Tarathpora, Panzgam, Tangdar, Teetwal, Doolipora, Vilgam, Magam–Handwara, Dragmulla, Tikker, Galizoo, DC residence, Khumriyal, Krusen, Lassipora, Sogam, Divar, Z Gali, Machil, Nutnussa, Chogal, Army Camp, Mill, Pukrupeth, Zachaldara, Changimulla, Handwara, Adoora and adjoining areas.

On December 2, 2025, shutdowns will be enforced on the Bemina–JVC line between 10.00 AM and 02.00 PM, and on the 33 KV Ahmadpora–Beerwah line and 33 KV Ahmadpora line between 09.30 AM and 03.30 PM. Power supply to JVC Hospital, Children Hospital, State Motor Garage, Hajj House, Forensic Lab, PC Depot, Qamarwari, Barthana, Beerwah, Sonpah, Najan, Khag, Arizal, Zanigam, Gandipora, Doodhpathry, Arah, Mazhama Old Sanoor, Aripanthan, Magam, Weriahama, Budren and adjoining areas will remain affected.

Similarly, shutdown of the 33 KV Kanipora–Pinjoora line will disrupt power to Pinjoora, Phanoo, Trenz, Mohanpora, Imamsahib, Kilora, Arhama, Zawoora, Shirmal, Chowdrigund, Vehil, Nowgam, Reshinagri, Saidpora, Bemnipora and adjoining areas from 10.00 AM to 03.30 PM on 04 and 07 December 2025.

Additionally, the 33 KV Kanipora–Batapora line will remain shut on 30 December 2025 from 11.00 AM to 01.30 PM, affecting Gagren Town, Sharatpora, Meemender, Habdipora, Industrial Area Gagren, Town, Batpora, Sedow, Hirpora, Devpora, Hotline, District Hospital, DPL and surrounding areas.
