Woman’s Body Found in Jhelum, Police Launch Inquiry | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: A female body was recovered from the River Jhelum in Baramulla on Thursday, officials said.

Official sources said locals spotted the body floating in the river and immediately informed the Police Station Baramulla. A police team rushed to the spot and retrieved the body with the help of locals.

The deceased has been identified as Shameema Begum, wife of Arshid Ahmad Malla, a resident of Khanpora, Baramulla, aged around 43 years.

They said that the body has been shifted to GMC Baramulla for medico-legal formalities.

Further investigation has been initiated. (KNC)
