
SRINAGAR: Acting on directions from Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Minhas, the Jammu District Administration on Wednesday carried out a demolition drive at Sidhra, targeting unauthorised constructions on State land, Khasra No. 95.
The operation, led by Tehsildar Paramdeep Singh along with Naib Tehsildar Sidhra/Bajalta Jagdish Singh, revenue officials, and police personnel, resulted in the removal of illegal shops and structures. All unauthorised constructions were demolished on the spot.
Approximately 3.5 Kanal of prime land was retrieved during the operation and has been immediately taken into official possession. The land has been earmarked for the establishment of a Niabat and Patwari office, as well as a Police Chowki at Sidhra. The Niabat Office is scheduled to commence functioning from Thursday to facilitate public service delivery.
The District Administration reiterated its commitment to strict action against violators and encroachers and appealed to the public to refrain from illegal occupation of government land.
