Senior Leaders, Top Police & Civil Officers Visit Family of Inspector Shah Asrar-ul-Haq in Kupwara – Alfaaz – The Words

Kupwara: A host of senior political leaders, police officers and civil administration officials on Sunday visited the residence of late Police Inspector Shah Asrar-ul-Haq at Muqam-e-Shahwali, Drugmulla, Kupwara to offer their condolences and express solidarity with the bereaved family following his tragic death in the accidental explosion at Nowgam Police Station on Friday night.

Those who visited the family, included Rajya Sabha Member Chaudhary Mohammed Ramzan, Director General of Police J&K Nalin Prabhat, Special DG Coordination PHQ SJM Geelani, Inspector General of Police Kashmir, MLA Trehgam Mir Saifullah, MLA Irfan Hafeez Lone, MLA Mir Fayaz, SSP Kupwara Tahir Geelani and Additional SP Handwara Fayaz Geelani. Several senior officers from the civil administration and security establishment also accompanied them.

The officials and public representatives spent time with the family, offered prayers for the departed officer and assured every possible support from the government and administration. They described Inspector Asrar as a dedicated and compassionate officer whose commitment to duty earned him deep respect across the force and the community.

In a separate visit, Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani, also met the family earlier in the day to extend condolences on behalf of the government. He emphasised that the administration stands firmly with every family affected by the Nowgam Police Station accidental explosion and reassured timely assistance and support.

Inspector Shah Asrar-ul-Haq was among the nine individuals who lost their lives in the high-intensity accidental blast that occurred while seized explosives were being handled. The incident also left several personnel injured, prompting widespread expressions of sorrow and solidarity across Jammu and Kashmir. (GNS)
