KPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdowns Across Multiple Areas

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across multiple districts to facilitate maintenance and repair works on various 33 KV lines.

According to the Chief Engineer (Distribution), the 33 KV Potushai–Aloosa line will remain shut on November 5, affecting the Aloosa receiving station. Power supply to Aloosa, Malangam, Quil, and adjoining areas will remain suspended from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm.

Similarly, shutdowns have been scheduled for the 33 KV Badampora–Ajar and Potushai–Naidhal lines on November 6. As a result, the Panzigam, Nusoo, Naidhal, and Ajas receiving stations will remain off, affecting power supply to areas including Panzigam, Kuloosa, Kazipora, Khayar, Ajar, Town Arin, Aham Sharief, Nishat, Papchan, Ajas, SK Bala, Sadunara, Bazipora, Nadihal, Guroora, and Argam from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm.

The 33 KV Potushai–Gurez line will also be shut down on November 8 and 9, leading to power outages at Dawar and Gurez receiving stations. Consequently, areas such as Wanpora, Dawar, NHPC, Tragbal, Peerbaba, Razdan Top, and adjoining locations will experience power disruption from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm on both days.

Additionally, a shutdown of the 140 MVA Grid Station Cheshmashahi has been planned for November 11. Power supply to Centaur, Brane Nishat, Dalband, Shalimar, BB Cant, TRC, Nedous, Buchwara, and adjoining areas will remain affected from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm.
