Traffic Police Issues Advisory Ahead of Mega ‘Padh Yatra’ Rally in Kupwara Tomorrow

Srinagar, May 12: The Traffic Police Rural Kashmir on Monday issued a comprehensive traffic advisory ahead of the Mega Padh Yatra rally scheduled to be held in Kupwara town on May 13 under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.

The advisory, issued by the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Traffic Rural Kashmir, outlines designated routes and parking arrangements for vehicles ferrying participants from various parts of the Valley to ensure smooth traffic management and prevent congestion during the event.

According to the advisory, vehicles carrying participants from Central Kashmir districts have been directed to travel via Pattan, Sangrama, Sopore, Chogul, Kulangam, Nathnusa and Drugmulla before reaching the designated parking slots at TRC Kupwara.

Participants arriving from Baramulla district have been advised to follow the Azadgunj–Rafiabad–Kralgund–Langate–Kulangam–Nathnusa–Drugmulla route to access the TRC Kupwara parking area.

Similarly, vehicles coming from Handwara have been instructed to use the Kulangam–Nathnusa–Drugmulla corridor towards the designated parking facility at TRC Kupwara.

For participants from Lolab, Kalaroos and Machil areas, traffic authorities have designated the Sogam–Khumriyal–Goose route, with parking arrangements made near Marriage Hall Geericha in Kupwara.

The advisory further states that vehicles ferrying participants from Hyhama, Batpora and Halmatpora areas shall move through Sohipora, Shatpora and Salkoot, with parking allocated at Women’s College Kupwara.

Meanwhile, participants travelling from Tangdhar, Kralpora and Trehgam have been directed to proceed via Chowkibal, Kralpora, Trehgam and Batergam Junction towards GDC Kupwara parking slots.

Traffic Police have appealed to the public and rally participants to strictly adhere to the notified traffic plan and cooperate with field personnel to ensure smooth conduct of the event.
