Sultan Warriors down Elegant Strikers by 29 runs in Kashmir Cup clash

Srinagar, Aug 11: A blistering half-century from skipper Nadeem Dar powered Sultan Warriors Baramulla to a commanding 29-run win over Elegant Strikers Srinagar in a Kashmir Cup 2025 at TRC Ground, Srinagar, on Monday.

Opting to bat first after losing the toss, Sultan Warriors posted 159/6 in their allotted 20 overs. Dar top-scored with a fluent 56 off 40 balls, hitting four boundaries and two sixes. Farhad Gani (25) and Aazim Rather (20 off 12) chipped in with valuable cameos, while Salman remained unbeaten on 19 off 12 balls. For Elegant Strikers, Saqib bagged 3/41 and Imtiyaz Ahmad took 2/21.

In reply, Elegant Strikers could manage only 130/8 despite a solid start. Captain Ahmad Omer Banday scored 47 off 37 balls, and Rayees Nazir struck a quick 26 from 18 deliveries. However, Salman’s incisive spell of 3/13 and Aazim Rather’s 2/28 kept the Strikers in check.

With this win, Sultan Warriors strengthened their position in the league standings.
