SKUAST Kashmir Non-Teaching Posts – Extension Of Dates And Upper Age Limit For In-Service Applicants

Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology (SKUAST), Kashmir has issued an important notice regarding the recruitment for the posts of Assistant Registrar and Assistant Comptroller as advertised in Notification No. 01 of 2025 dated 10 July 2025. This notice brings two key changes for in-service candidates.

As per the revised rules, the upper age limit for in-service employees applying for these posts has been increased from 40 years to 50 years. This change follows the approval from the Hon’ble Chancellor, State Universities of Jammu & Kashmir (Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, J&K) based on a communication from the Higher Education Department Civil Secretariat, J&K.

Additionally, the last date for submission of online applications has been extended. All applicants can now submit their online application forms by 25 August 2025 (11:59 PM). In-service candidates applying through the proper channel have until 10 September 2025 (11:59 PM) to submit their applications.

The revised schedule is as follows –
Last date for online application submission: 25 August 2025 (11:59 PM).
Last date for submission of applications for in-service candidates through proper channel: 10 September 2025 (11:59 PM).

Vacancy Details:
The posts advertised include Assistant Registrar and Assistant Comptroller as per Notification No. 01 of 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must meet the qualifications and conditions specified in the original notification. For in-service candidates, the revised upper age limit is now 50 years.

How to Apply:
Candidates must apply online through the SKUAST Kashmir official website and, in the case of in-service applicants, also submit a hard copy of their application through the proper channel before the respective last date.

Selection Process:
The selection process will include a written test. The syllabus will be announced separately on the university’s official website. No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the selection process.
