SKUAST-J Hiring Contractual Faculty In Statistics For 2025-26 Academic Session, Apply By 17 July

Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) has invited applications for temporary contractual faculty positions in the Division of Statistics & Computer Science under the Faculty of Basic Sciences (FBSc). The appointments are for teaching various courses during the academic session 2025-26.

As per the approval issued by Dean FBSc, a total of 3 posts are available in the subject of Statistics. The age of the applicant should be between 20 to 55 years as on the date of advertisement. Selected candidates will be paid a consolidated monthly salary of ₹35,000 for Master’s degree holders and ₹45,000 for Ph.D. holders.

Eligibility Criteria:

The essential qualification required is a postgraduate degree in the concerned subject with at least 55 percent marks from a recognized university. Applicants must also have completed B.Sc in Statistics, Mathematics, Agriculture, or Horticulture. The desirable qualifications include a doctoral degree or qualification in NET/SET, ability to teach mathematics, and experience in AI or Machine Learning methods. Age limit is 20 to 55 years as on the date of advertisement.

The appointment is purely temporary and is initially for one semester, extendable subject to satisfactory performance and institutional need.
