
State President , Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), J&K, Vivek Bali on Thursday led a “Drug-Free Campaign” at Dal Lake, reaffirming the party’s commitment to supporting the fight against drug abuse and promoting a healthier future for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing the gathering, Vivek Bali stated that the campaign was organized in support of the “Nasha Mukt J&K – 100 Days Abhiyan” launched by the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
He said that SBSP is the first political party to conduct such a campaign at Dal Lake, a location widely regarded as the “Heart of the City.”
“By choosing Dal Lake as the venue, we want this message to travel far beyond Srinagar and Jammu & Kashmir and reach every corner of the country. Our message to the youth is simple and clear: abandon drugs and embrace life. The future belongs to those who choose education, hard work, and positive contributions to society,” Vivek Bali said in a press release.
He further expressed confidence in the bright future of Jammu and Kashmir, stating that the region is on the path of transformation and development. He said that new industries and investment opportunities are expected to emerge in the coming years, creating employment avenues for local youth and strengthening the economy of the Union Territory. Vivek Bali added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, J&K is witnessing a new era of growth and progress. “We firmly believe that a time will come when the economy of Jammu and Kashmir will compete with the best in the country. With development, investment, and employment opportunities, Jammu and Kashmir is steadily moving towards becoming a ‘New Jammu and Kashmir’,” he said.
The campaign was attended by senior party leaders including Dr. Firdous Ahmad Wani, Shiyak Ahmad Raina, Bashir Ahmad Najar, Manzoor , Bashir Ahmad Shah, Fayaz Ahmed Mir, and other party workers and supporters. The SBSP leadership reiterated its unwavering support for all initiatives aimed at eradicating drug abuse and pledged to continue public awareness campaigns to build a safer, healthier, and more prosperous society, it added.
