
Anantnag, Jun 13: Police in south Kashmir district Anantnag on Saturday traced three missing minor girls within hours of receiving information about their disappearance and safely reunited them with their families.
According to a police statement, the three girls (identities withheld) had gone missing from their respective homes on the evening of June 12, following which a missing report was received by the police.
Acting swiftly, Anantnag Police constituted multiple teams under the supervision of the Senior Superintendent of Police, Anantnag, and launched a coordinated search operation. The search involved technical assistance as well as ground-level verification, leading to the successful tracing of all three minors within hours.
Police said the girls were found safe and in good health. After completion of the requisite legal formalities, they were handed over to their respective parents and legal guardians.
The police appealed to the public to promptly report incidents involving missing persons to enable timely intervention and facilitate their safe recovery.
