Srinagar, May 04: In continuation of the ongoing 100-days intensive Nasha Mukti Abhiyan across Jammu & Kashmir, Police in Anantnag organized a 5-day specialized training program for Investigating Officers (IOs).
During the campaign, Police has registered a large number of cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act against drug peddlers across various parts of the district. Several arrests have been made and substantial quantities of contraband substances have been seized, reflecting the firm commitment of the police to eradicate the drug menace from society.
To further enhance the quality of investigation and ensure effective prosecution in NDPS cases, Police organized a 5-day specialized training program for Investigating Officers (IOs). The training focused on legal procedures, evidence collection, case documentation, and best practices to secure higher conviction rates under the NDPS Act.
Senior police officers and subject experts imparted in-depth knowledge and practical insights during the sessions. The initiative aims to build capacity among IOs and ensure that investigations are conducted in a professional, transparent, and legally robust manner.
