Police, Army, CRPF and Fire Services avert major tragedy after gas shop fire in Lalpora market

Lalpora, May 16: A fire incident in Lalpora market on Saturday evening triggered panic after flames broke out in a gas shop located inside a wooden structure.

According to reports, the fire originated from the gas shop and quickly spread within the building housing nearly six shops, causing damage to multiple structures.

Soon after the incident, teams from Police, Fire and Emergency Services, the Indian Army, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), ambulance services, and local residents reached the spot and launched a firefighting operation. Their timely intervention helped bring the flames under control and prevented the fire from spreading to adjoining shops and residential structures.

The swift response by Police, Army, and Fire and Emergency Services averted a major tragedy in the area. No loss of life or injuries was reported.

Meanwhile, the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Police have registered a case and initiated further investigation.
